H3>Slides Scanned into PowerPoint

Digital presentations are becoming the professional standard and you need a quick, convenient means to convert your slides into digital files for electronic use. Whether you are a business traveler, educator, medical or dental professional, or in sales and marketing, you can benefit from transferring your 35mm slide presentation to digital format. We offer economical slide conversion services that will make the transition from slides to digital files seamless. Instead of lugging a slide projector and all of your slides through airports and hotels, you are now able to put your entire presentation on a single CDROM.

By having your slides converted to digital format, you will have your images for a lifetime of use as references and the ability to abstract them on demand. You will be able to store thousands of images in a space the size of a small binder, index them for ease of locating and even print multiple slides on one sheet of paper for quick reference. Unlike 35mm slides, digital images will not deteriorate from the heat and light generated by the slide projector.

With our PowerPoint Service, your slides will be scanned, imported, and arranged in PowerPoint, in the sequence that the slides are in when we receive them. Each image will be placed on it's own PowerPoint slide. A black background will be used on all pages. You can choose any resolution from 2000 to 4000. The original standalone files from the scans will be burned to a master disc and the PowerPoint version will be on its own disc.

Special cropping can be done if requested to leave the small black border around the image to ensure that all of the text/image is captured. We do not add text, titles, transitions, or other special features to your presentation but the PowerPoint file that we create can be enhanced by you to meet your needs.

We will return your 35mm slides, all digital images, and the PowerPoint file (Presentation.ppt). In addition to the PowerPoint file, each digital image will be included on the CD so that you can use them in other applications if needed.

Save Those Memories:

Turn your photo clutter into a digital archive of lasting memories.

If shoe boxes crammed with forgotten images clutter your basement, we may be the answer to your spring cleaning blues.

We can digitize all of your photographs, slides, and negatives.

Remember baby's cake-smudged smile at age one?

Or the huge sand castle you built while vacationing in Florida?

What about the 1968 Halloween party where you dressed up like Elvis?

With your photos digitized, a trip down memory lane only requires a few mouse clicks or your TV remote.

Most people have the good intentions of going through the archiving process but it's so time consuming that they usually give up and their memories are left in the closet to literally fade away. Don't let that happen to you.

ADVISORY

Larsen Digital will never send your film to another country for scanning.

When searching for a reputable company to transfer and preserve your irreplaceable memories make sure that they won't be sending your film to another country to take advantage of cheap labor rates.

Several relatively new film scanning companies have popped up overnight which are sending the film to India, Costa Rica, and other countries to have the work done. This practice explains the "too good to be true" pricing. It's bad enough that they are doing this with their customer's priceless memories, but the fact that they are not even up front with their customers about this practice is disgusting in our opinion.

2010 Tropical Storm Names

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has predicted an active to extremely active hurricane season in the Atlantic Basin this year, according to the season outlook issued today.

For the six-month hurricane season, which begins Tuesday, NOAA projects a 70 percent likelihood that 14 to 23 named storms will pop up, including eight to 14 hurricanes. Of those, three to seven could be Category 3 hurricanes or stronger, according to a news release from NOAA.

The outlook ranges are higher than the seasonal average of 11 named storms, six hurricanes and two major hurricanes.

According to NOAA, there are three weather factors at work in the higher-than-average prediction: weaker atmospheric winds, warmer water in the Atlantic Ocean and the syncing of favorable ocean and atmospheric conditions.

NOAA scientists will update the hurricane outlook in early August

Our Superior Equipment

We use the finest film scanners on the market today for professional use --

Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 scanners for perfect film scanning.

Nikon's Super Coolscan 5000 ED slide scanner offers 4,000 dpi true optical resolution, for superior-quality digital images. Furthermore, the Super Coolscan scanners feature industry-leading scanning speeds that translate into lower costs for our customers. Our scanners have high end components such as:

Nikkor ED lens - The single most important element in the production of high-quality scans is the lens. Nikon has incorporated lenses of the highest quality in each film scanner. ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements are far superior in edge-to-edge sharpness, definition and contrast, as well as color registration, saturation and accuracy.

Low-heat, high-accuracy LED light source - Most scanners use halogen or fluorescent lamps as light sources, but they require time to warm up and the heat they generate can cause damage to film. Our Nikon scanners are the only scanners to employ LEDs as the source of light. LEDs are a stable, precise light source, which require no maintenance or warm-up time and present no risk of your film being damaged.

Digital ICE4 Advanced - Nikon's ED glass and LED lighting help to optimize the effectiveness of Digital ICE4 Advanced components, making Nikon Coolscan scanners and ICE a perfect match.

Nikon color Management System (CMS) - Nikon CMS provides consistently accurate reproduction of image data on monitors and in printouts.
