Save Those Memories:

Turn your photo clutter into a digital archive of lasting memories.

If shoe boxes crammed with forgotten images clutter your basement, we may be the answer to your spring cleaning blues.

We can digitize all of your photographs, slides, and negatives.

Remember baby's cake-smudged smile at age one?

Or the huge sand castle you built while vacationing in Florida?

What about the 1968 Halloween party where you dressed up like Elvis?

With your photos digitized, a trip down memory lane only requires a few mouse clicks or your TV remote.

Most people have the good intentions of going through the archiving process but it's so time consuming that they usually give up and their memories are left in the closet to literally fade away. Don't let that happen to you.

ADVISORY

Larsen Digital will never send your film to another country for scanning.

When searching for a reputable company to transfer and preserve your irreplaceable memories make sure that they won't be sending your film to another country to take advantage of cheap labor rates.

Several relatively new film scanning companies have popped up overnight which are sending the film to India, Costa Rica, and other countries to have the work done. This practice explains the "too good to be true" pricing. It's bad enough that they are doing this with their customer's priceless memories, but the fact that they are not even up front with their customers about this practice is disgusting in our opinion.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has predicted an active to extremely active hurricane season in the Atlantic Basin this year, according to the season outlook issued today.

For the six-month hurricane season, which begins Tuesday, NOAA projects a 70 percent likelihood that 14 to 23 named storms will pop up, including eight to 14 hurricanes. Of those, three to seven could be Category 3 hurricanes or stronger, according to a news release from NOAA.

The outlook ranges are higher than the seasonal average of 11 named storms, six hurricanes and two major hurricanes.

According to NOAA, there are three weather factors at work in the higher-than-average prediction: weaker atmospheric winds, warmer water in the Atlantic Ocean and the syncing of favorable ocean and atmospheric conditions.

NOAA scientists will update the hurricane outlook in early August

Our Superior Equipment

We use the finest film scanners on the market today for professional use --

Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 scanners for perfect film scanning.

Nikon's Super Coolscan 5000 ED slide scanner offers 4,000 dpi true optical resolution, for superior-quality digital images. Furthermore, the Super Coolscan scanners feature industry-leading scanning speeds that translate into lower costs for our customers. Our scanners have high end components such as:

Nikkor ED lens - The single most important element in the production of high-quality scans is the lens. Nikon has incorporated lenses of the highest quality in each film scanner. ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens elements are far superior in edge-to-edge sharpness, definition and contrast, as well as color registration, saturation and accuracy.

Low-heat, high-accuracy LED light source - Most scanners use halogen or fluorescent lamps as light sources, but they require time to warm up and the heat they generate can cause damage to film. Our Nikon scanners are the only scanners to employ LEDs as the source of light. LEDs are a stable, precise light source, which require no maintenance or warm-up time and present no risk of your film being damaged.

Digital ICE4 Advanced - Nikon's ED glass and LED lighting help to optimize the effectiveness of Digital ICE4 Advanced components, making Nikon Coolscan scanners and ICE a perfect match.

Nikon color Management System (CMS) - Nikon CMS provides consistently accurate reproduction of image data on monitors and in printouts.
