Beta Max tapes were introduced in 1975 developed by Sony. Beta Max tapes competitor directly with VHS tapes, but eventually they lost the war. Beta Max tapes are not very common, but we do have the equipment to convert Beta Max to DVD or Digital Video File.
Beta Max tapes can come in 2 hour, 4 hour or 6 hour mode. Beta Max tapes were said to have produced higher quality videos over the long play VHS tapes. The war between Beta Max & VHS went on for over a decade before Sony finally gave in & started to manufacture VHS tapes.
If you are lucky enough to own a Beta Max player you might be able to watch your home movies, but like most people, you don't. We will convert your Beta Max to either a DVD or a digital video file. Once you have your Beta Max in a digital format, you have the freedom to share long lost memories.
Beta Max tapes were not meant to be a long term solution for your home movies. Because Beta Max tape is magnetic, it is susceptible to deterioration like any other tape. Once the tape loses its magnetism there is nothing that can be done to repair what is lost. This is why it is so important to convert your Beta Max tapes to digital & stop the deterioration.
