Bronze II Processing

Our Bronze II Processing service was just enhanced to include rotation and cropping.  It is designed for the DIY do it yourself customer that wants to take control of the final image adjustments using PhotoShop or other image editing software.  Based on customer feedback and our own research, we believe that our new Bronze II service is superior to that found at local photo stores and most internet based competitors.

Our Bronze II  Processing service includes the following with NO additional cost to you:

Infrared dust & scratch reduction (ICE)

Auto cropping to eliminate the border from the film edge (Note:  With Bronze II service a few crops might be missed and the film edge could show in the corners and along one or more edges of the image.)

Image Rotation as required

Burn to Disc

Single folder.    Additional folders are $4.00 each

Files will be named in sequence.
  (Image 0001, Image 0002, Image 0003, etc.)
 -  Custom File Naming is Available.    Click Here to learn more.

Probably not print or video ready if slides are old and faded – but ready for final adjustments in Photo Shop, Paint Shop, etc.

Silver Processing

Our Silver Processing service is designed for the general population who want a cost effective solution to digitizing their slide collection but do not want to be involved in the final image adjustments and/or want the DVD Video created at the same time as the scanning. This process produces very acceptable digital images for print & video in most situations.

Our Silver Processing service includes the following with NO additional cost to you:

Infrared dust & scratch reduction (ICE)

Manual cropping to eliminate the border from the film edges

Automated Post Scan Image adjustments (color / contrast) and some manual corrections to images.

Image Rotation as required

Burn to Disc

Maximum of 2 folders for every 100 images.  Additional folders are $4.00 each

Within each folder the files will be named in sequence.
  (Image 0001, Image 0002, Image 0003, etc.)
 -  Custom File Naming is Available.    Click Here to learn more.

Print and Video Ready 1

Note 1 : Print and Video Ready assurance can only be achieved if slides/negatives are in relatively good condition. Both our Silver and Gold services apply color and fade restoration when required, but in some extreme cases where the dyes in the film have faded too far, even the best digital enhancement will fail to fully recover the original scene.   Mold and Mildew can also present problems.

Our Gold Processing Service is designed for the professional that demands the finest possible digital image from film scans.

Our Gold Processing service includes the following with NO additional cost to you:

Manual cropping to eliminate the border from the film edge

Post Scan manual image adjustments (color / contrast / minor spotting / cropping) performed on each individual scan.

Image Rotation as required

Burn to Disc

Maximum of 4 folders for every 100 images.   Additional folders are $4.00 each

Within each folder the files will be named in sequence.
  (Image 0001, Image 0002, Image 0003, etc.)

DVD Video SlideShow from Your Scanned Slides

As an optional service, we can also transfer your scanned images into a DVD Video Slide Show.  Pricing for this option is conveniently located on the slide scanning order form. Customers that select this option will receive the individual scanned images on CD or Data DVD in addition to receiving the standalone DVD SlideShow for TV viewing. The DVD Video Slide Show is not recommended with our Bronze II service because the images at the Bronze II level may need additional adjustments.

We understand the value of your film and we also know this should be a once in a lifetime expenditure. We promise to take care of your film as if it was our own treasured memories. And we will do everything in our power to ensure that the quality is unsurpassed so that we never have an unsatisfied customer. Nobody has more experience in scanning slides than we do.
When it comes right down to it -- there are 4 main reasons why you should select a particular company to digitize your valuable and irreplaceable family memories.

1. A reputation for quality and customer satisfaction is number one. We pride ourselves in our track record since we started business back in 1995. We have always made sure that each and every one of our customers are treated with professionalism along with a personal touch.

2. State of the art equipment is a must and we use nothing but the finest scanners available on the market today. We use the finest equipment and processes for our film transfers to DVD.

3. A broad range of options to choose from. We have tried to bring as many options as possible to our customers. We have options to fit the needs of everyone from professional photographers to the hobbyist, and to the family history and genealogy buff.

4. And finally -- Cost. We believe that cost should be the final decision maker after the other three. Fortunately for you, our costs are as low as or in almost every case substantially lower than our competitors.

We convert your slides and negatives into industry standard
TIFF ( tif ) or JPEG ( jpg ) image files, not proprietary formats such as Kodak's PictureCD or PhotoCD. With Kodak's proprietary formats, you are limited to the usefulness, ability to copy, and compatibility with your software. There has never been a better time for transferring slides to DVD.

ADVISORY

Larsen Digital will never send your film to another country for scanning.

When searching for a reputable company to transfer and preserve your irreplaceable memories make sure that they won't be sending your film to another country to take advantage of cheap labor rates.

Several relatively new film scanning companies have popped up overnight which are sending the film to India, Costa Rica, and other countries to have the work done. This practice explains the "too good to be true" pricing. It's bad enough that they are doing this with their customer's priceless memories, but the fact that they are not even up front with their customers about this practice is disgusting in our opinion.

We Digitize Your Memories by transferring all of your precious memories to digital on CDs and DVDs.
